Avenida Partners (Newport Beach, Calif.) wanted to build a 62+ active adult community to meet the needs of residents who desire smaller, maintenance-free units and enjoy resort-style amenities. The result is Avenida Naperville in Naperville, Ill.
The 180,000-square-foot community includes 146 units centered around an activity courtyard and a garden courtyard, representative of charming historic neighborhoods. Residents can choose from nine different floor plans featuring one or two bedrooms.
The overall design by Meeks + Partners (Houston) and DesignSixTwo (Dallas) was guided with luxury and space in mind. The exterior features a grand porte-cochère entry and a mix of brick and stone veneer with lap and panel siding. The interior aesthetic is based on a mix of modern and rustic design establishing a charming setting with dark beams and bright lighting, cream-colored walls, white trim, and furnishings fabricated in cream, white, teal, and green hues.
The community includes a fitness studio, clubhouse with a bistro, yoga studio, theater, library, private dining room, card room, creative arts studio, swimming pool and spa, barbeque and outdoor dining areas, game lawn, and fire pit.
