Roland Park Place, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Baltimore, will expand off-site by converting a former convent into senior living in Towson, Md., according to prismnews.com.
The 9-acre Villa Assumpta campus has been home to the School Sisters of Notre Dame since 1937. Roland Park Place purchased the property and plans to develop it into a CCRC with 60 independent living apartments; a 16-suite short-term rehabilitation space; two 14-suite long-term care households; and two 13-suite memory care households.
Amenities will include two secure gardens, a market café, pub, bistro, formal and private dining, movie theater, fitness facilities, and a 200-seat arts and education center. The project is targeting LEED Homes Silver certification.
Hord Coplan Macht (Baltimore) is serving as architect. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2028 and take two years to complete.
