Park Pointe Village, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), has started construction on an expansion of its campus in Rock Hill, S.C., according to a news release.
Owned and operated by Acts Retirement-Life Communities (Fort Washington, Pa.), the 62+ CCRC will add 109 acres to its campus and deliver 130 new independent living units, including apartments and duplex carriage homes.
Phase one will include 28 new assisted living apartments and the renovation of a 10-unit memory care neighborhood.
Phase two will comprise 41 new duplex-style carriage homes and a 3-story independent living building. Additionally, a new 18,000-square-foot clubhouse will be added and feature a wood-fired kitchen, indoor-outdoor dining, a multipurpose room, chapel, and pickleball gym. Outdoor amenities will include a new memory care garden, landscaped plazas and courtyards, walking trails, and dog parks.
Spiezle Architectural Group (Springfield, Pa.) is leading master planning and conceptual design on the project.
