They will profile the latest design parameters including common space designs, accommodation styles, and overall building characteristics and layouts that maximize operational efficiencies and reduce construction costs. Hear about how to integrate adaptive re-use opportunities and see examples from senior living providers.
Lead speaker: Craig Kimmel, partner, RLPS Architects
Craig Kimmel’s involvement in the design of award-winning senior housing spans a 29-year career. He is a LEED AP and a Registered Architect with NCARB certification. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, LeadingAge, and the U.S. Green Building Council. He has served as a speaker at state and national conferences, drawing on his particular focus managing complex senior living and care projects for both new construction and facility reinventions. He also serves on his local township planning commission, providing a deeper understanding of long-term planning and municipal development issues.
