Watersound Fountains at Origins, Inlet Beach, Florida

Watersound Fountains at Origins is an independent living senior living community in Inlet Beach, Fla., that blends the comfort of an inland landscape with coastal charm to create a relaxing retreat.

Opened in February 2024, the community is designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings, including inland pine trees and an adjacent wetland preserve that’s visible from many of the residential units and exterior event spaces.

Inside Watersound Foundations at Origins

Designed by Chancey Architecture, the community’s interiors are designed to reflect and complement the outdoors. A soothing color palette of soft blue, green, purple, and yellow hues mimics the area’s sunsets. Materials, including driftwood, light wood finishes, and woven textures, further evoke the coastal atmosphere.

For example, dining venues feature carpet patterns in soft blues and greens with light periwinkle, while residential corridors bring in a sense of nature with green entry doors and pattern carpets.

In the 148 residential units, modern white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, and stainless-steel appliances supports the luxury, coastal vibe.

Artwork also brings in coastal textural elements, reminiscent of local beaches, providing a tactile connection to nature.

Senior living amenity spaces

Amenities at Watersound Fountains at Origins reflect the same thoughtful design as the interiors. Spaces include a golf simulator room, billiards and gaming areas, an outdoor pool, garden pavilion, and outdoor putting green.

The community also houses several small gathering spaces designed to host meetings and social events such as wine tastings and tech trainings.

The interior dining venues capture the outdoors with large spans of floor-to-ceiling windows. Each of the four dining options features distinct design elements.

For example, The Mark formal dining environment highlights driftwood-stained ceiling beams, a neutral color palette, and linen draped tables. The Central, a more casual dining experience, features woven texture dining chairs, white shiplap wall accents, and painted wood ceiling beams.
