Acoya Cherry Creek, Denver
Acoya Cherry Creek opened in November 2023 in Denver with 137 luxury independent living and assisted living units.
Market research indicates that the Denver metro area’s 75 and older population is expected to increase by 26 percent over the next 5 years.
Acoya Cherry Creek was selected as a site location due to its reputation as one of the best places to live in Colorado, as well as its vibrant neighborhood, replete with locally owned restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries.
Modern interiors for senior living
The 184,000-square-foot community features modern architecture and a modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
A neutral palette with elegant rich charcoals, grays, and navy accents is used throughout the interiors. The intention is to allow the bold pops of color in the furniture and art to be dynamic and stand out as a focal feature.
Expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows invite natural light to flood the interiors, creating a seamless transition to the outdoor gathering space, balconies, and landscaped terraces.
These elements take advantage of the region’s favorable climate but also promote a sense of openness and connection with the community.
The architecture embraces clean lines and industrial accents. For example, materials such as exposed concrete, stone, and steel add a touch of urban-industrial feel.
Custom furniture and luxury amenities
The project team incorporated custom furniture throughout Acoya Cherry Creek, including a curved sectional sofa with a coordinating curved sofa table in the lounge, bold art feature pieces in the reception area, and rich, velvet textiles including blue lounge chairs.
The inspiration to provide expressive, eye-catching art is taken from the sculptures that are scattered throughout the nearby DC Burns Park, which features art created for the 1968 Denver Sculpture Symposium.
The community also includes high-end amenities such as a wellness space, art room, theater, salon, multiple dining options, game rooms, amenity deck, and rooftop lounge and patio.
