Senior Services To Open Intergenerational Center For Arts And Wellness In 2023

The 62,500-square-foot facility will include activities and programming as well as an adult day center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Senior Services Inc. (Winston-Salem, N.C.), a private, nonprofit organization focused on services to help older adults live at home, is planning to open the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness on its campus in Winston-Salem, in November.

The 62,500-square-foot community center (to be called “Generations Center”) will offer activities, programming, and creative collaborative endeavors for seniors and the community.

Additionally, Senior Services’ Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Center will relocate from its current location in Winston-Salem to the Generations Center.

A variety of organizations are collaborating with Senior Services on the center, including Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Sticht Center for Healthy Aging and Alzheimer’s Prevention (Winston-Salem); child-development center Family Services (Winston-Salem); nonprofit HandsOn NWNC (Winston-Salem); Hispanic League (Winston-Salem); Novant Health, Sawtooth School for Visual Art (Winston-Salem); Second Harvest’s Providence (Winston-Salem), which provides culinary, hospitality, and life skills training; and Winston-Salem State University Health Sciences (Winston-Salem).
