Forest Hill House, a 62+ senior living community in Newark, N.J., has completed a $42 million renovation, according to tapinto.net.
The project updates each of the community’s 99 residential units with new windows and LED lighting, as well as kitchen and bathroom flooring, fixtures, and Energy Star-rated appliances. In addition, renovations include a 1,000-square-foot patio with new furniture and landscaping, as well as 300 square feet of new enclosed outdoor space. New amenities aim to improve health and wellness, including an on-site doctor’s office, nursing station, beauty station, and fitness and mobility room.
The project marks the community’s first major renovation in nearly 50 years, according to the article.
Inglese Architecture + Engineering (Cedar Grove, N.J.) served as architect on the project, and SHP Management Corp. (Cumberland-Foreside, Maine) is the owner-operator of the community.
