Developer McDowell Housing Partners (Miami) has started construction on Ekos at Bayonet II, an affordable senior living community in Hudson, Fla., according to a news release.
The $38.9 million project represents the second phase of a master-planned intergenerational community that will deliver 360 homes total.
Ekos at Bayonet II will comprise a 5-story building with 120 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units averaging 660 square feet. Residents will have access to amenities such as a clubhouse with a pool and covered patio, fitness center, computer lab, game and crafts area, and dog park.
FK Architecture (Maitland, Fla.) is the architect of record, with Park & Eleazer Construction (Clearwater, Fla.) serving as general contractor.
The project is expected to be completed in spring 2028.
