Hunt Capital Partners (Encino, Calif.) and Intervest Corporation (New York) are partnering to redevelop the former Carnation Milk Plant as Carnation Village, a 33-unit affordable senior living community in Tupelo, Miss. The community will offer one- and two-bedroom apartments, with 31 of the units reserved for seniors earning between 30 to 60 percent of the area median income, according to a news release.
A community clubhouse, exercise room, laundry, and outdoor amenities such as walking trails and a butterfly garden are also planned.
Carnation Village will be built to comply with the 2015 National Green Building Standards and is expected to be completed in July 2023.
The project team includes Wallace Architects (project architect; Columbia, Mo.) and Century Construction Group Inc. (general contractor; Tupelo, Miss.). Developer Intervest will also serve as the property manager, according to the news release.
