Construction Starts On $40M Congregational Place Senior Living Community In Chula Vista, California

The affordable housing project comprises a seven-story building with 56 units.

Non-profit senior housing organizations Community Congregational Development Corp. (Chula Vista, Calif.) and Retirement Housing Foundation (Long Beach, Calif.) are partnering to develop Congregational Place, an affordable senior living community in Chula Vista.

Construction started in May on the $40 million project, which comprises a 7-story building with 56 units, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. Amenities will include a second-floor outdoor deck, community lounge, and various activity rooms.

The first floor of the building will be leased to San Ysidro Health (San Diego) to operate a center for PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly).

The general contractor on the project is Consolidated Contracting (San Clemente, Calif.), according to the website chulavistaliving.com.
