Vitality Living, Brentwood, Tenn., and Al Copeland Investments, Metairie, La., sought to create a high-rise active adult living experience for residents of Metairie, part of the New Orleans metro area. The solution was found in Metairie’s 95-suite Copeland Tower hotel, an iconic structure thanks to its circular top. The building became available when Copeland Investments decided they wanted to move this property into the active adult living space. Copeland Tower will be transformed into Copeland Tower Living, a is 55+ active adult community scheduled to open in summer/fall 2021.

The 95, 750-square-foot one-bedroom suites in the 16-story tower will be converted to units, and its nine meeting spaces will become common areas. New Orleans style touches will be present throughout the community to pay homage to its location including Cajun food and a full-service bar for residents to enjoy their favorite cocktail.

Copeland Tower Living will occupy the bottom 16 floors of the project. The 16th floor will include a full-service salon, wellness center, and spa with views of downtown New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. The 17th floor will continue to house Al Copeland Investments’ corporate office. The investment firm will still own the building while Vitality Living will manage the active adult community.
