This Wing H Expansion is the final phase of a 10-year build-out for the Village Commons and Atrium Healthcare Facility at the newest Willow Brook at Delaware Run CCRC Campus (Delaware, Ohio). Containing 32 AL Suites and 6 Transitional AL Apartments, this project also provided a lower level for Rehab Therapy Center and doctor’s office serving on campus residents as well as outpatient citizens in the region.
Emphasis was placed on maximizing the enclosed courtyard spaces with architectural and landscape features, creating a unique multi-level outdoor environment for viewing, walking, and hanging out. There is even a Crow’s Nest lookout on the third level with views of the courtyards and community beyond while watching the sun rise and set each day. A contained garden area courtyard was also added to the existing memory care wing with a pergola covered patio, walk path, benches, and queuing features interspersed throughout the densely landscaped backdrop.
To handle the additional residents, an AL Dining Expansion was designed with outdoor covered seating on the opposite end of the enclosed courtyard. The diversity of healthcare choices and living environments with services and entertainment features throughout the lavishly landscaped property, makes this Willow Brook campus stand out above the competition.
