East Ridge At Cutler Bay's new health center in Cutler Bay, Fla., is currently under construction. The new Health Center features many sustainable features and the project is targeting Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the US Green Building Council.
Sustainability strategies include integrated design; using the existing community's roads, water, sewers and other infrastructure; sustainable sites with erosion control plans to protect the site before, during, and after development; promoting water efficiency through drip irrigation for at least 50 percent of planting beds and smart sensor technologies; the use of low emitting materials such as carpeting and paint; a recycling and waste management plan where 65 percent of the construction waste is diverted from landfills and/or incinerators; and more.
The project team includes AG Architectural, LECESSE Construction, and Steven Winter Associates Inc.
