Lakeland Housing Authority (Lakeland, Fla.) plans to demolish an existing housing development to make way for a new affordable senior living community in Lakeland, according to The Ledger.

The project would replace the existing 40-unit affordable family housing development Carrington Place with a new 3-story building housing 100 units of affordable senior living, tentatively named Dakota Place Apartments. Approximately 60 of the units would have one-bedroom, one-bathroom floor plans, and the other 40 would be two-bedroom, two-bathroom units.
