The Golden Girls Home, a boutique assisted living community for eight residents, is set to open this fall in Portsmouth, Va., according to The Virginian-Pilot.
The community is housed in a single-family residence built in 1893 and refurbished by the owners—four women who comprise the leadership team of Life’s Journey, a mental health and substance abuse agency in Norfolk, Va.
The project features eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a chair lift to assist residents in accessing the second floor.
