Moorings Park Grande Lake, Naples, Florida: EFA 2024 Design Showcase Honorable Mention
Moorings Park Grande Lake in Naples, Fla., completed a 272,000-square-foot clubhouse in February 2022, delivering an amenity-rich building to the heart of this luxury community.
Built at the eastern tip of a large lake, the 7-story building was designed to maximize views to its waterfront setting while delivering cohesive and thoughtful spaces that allow residents to flow with ease between outdoor and indoor spaces.
The project was submitted by Wegman Design Group (Naples, Fla.).
Luxury senior living design
Within the amenity-rich setting are a resort-style pool and café/bistro on the first floor. The second floor houses a theater, two waterfront restaurants, and a bar while the third-floor has a fitness center, golf simulator, spa, arts studio, and The Center for Healthy Living, which offers wellness and medical health services.
The remaining three floors house independent living units for more than 280 residents.
Jurors lauded the project for hitting its goal to deliver a luxury community and for its reflection of its coastal setting, including dramatic ceiling elements in the lobby and dining rooms, cove and pendant lighting, and a private dining room for hosting events, complete with a fireplace, outside balcony, and dedicated service bar.
