Members of the West Dundee Village Board have endorsed the decision by the Planning and Zoning Commission to approve a senior living community development in West Dundee, Ill., reports The Courier-News.

The 9-acre site of Bright Oaks of West Dundee will also feature a living area called The Bridge, where couples can continue to live together while one needs memory-related care.

Amenities will include several dining venues, such as a bistro, pub and ice cream parlor, and a market.

The project will now be reviewed by the Appearance Review Commission and final plans and engineering for the project also await approval by the Village Board.

The developer hopes to begin construction in spring.
