Development company Vintage Housing (Newport Beach, Calif.) has started construction on an affordable independent living community in Oxnard, Calif., according to the Ventura County Star.
The project consists of two four-story buildings with 341 one- and two-bedroom apartments for seniors aged 55 and older.
Built on approximately 7 acres, the community will include a swimming pool, community center, gym, and coffee bar, as well as on-site parking, according to McCarthy Companies (Ventura, Calif.), which is providing preconstruction and general contracting services on the project.
