Construction is well underway on the Trillium Woods resort-style senior living community in Plymouth, Minn., its developers said in a news release Friday.
The 914,000-square-foot development sits on 46 acres of woods and will have 209 independent living residences, with 14 floorplans for duplex-style garden homes and apartments. An on-site health center will have 44 assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care suites.
Amenities will include a clubhouse with restaurant-style dining, library, café, auditorium, fitness center, indoor pool and whirlpool. Private walking trails on the site will connect to the regional trail system.
The prairie-style design will incorporate geothermal wells for heating and cooling and other features that the developers hope will earn LEED certification. Life Care Services (Des Moines, Iowa) and Westminster Partnership are the project's owners.
