Granada Homes, an affordable senior living community in San Antonio, Texas, is planning a $63 million renovation, according to an article in mysanantonio.com.
The 12-story project will include expanding the total number of units from 249 to 265; upgrading air conditioning, mechanical systems, and elevators; and renovating units with new appliances, flooring, window treatments, and kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
The project will also add new amenity spaces, including a gym, chapel, library, and arts and crafts room; and restore common areas to reflect what the building looked like when it opened in the late 1920s. Exterior improvements will also be made to restore some of the building’s historic features.
The project team includes CREO Architects (architect; San Antonio) and Cadence McShane Construction Company (builder; Addison, Texas).
The renovation project is slated to be completed in late 2022.
