Sentara Life Care To Make Changes At Assisted Living Campus

The campus in Norfolk, Va., will concentrate on intensive rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.

Sentara Life Care has revealed plans to repurpose and modernize Sentara Village assisted living campus in Norfolk, Va., and focus on short-term physical rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and ventilator care.

According to the press release, the existing Sentara Village assisted living facility campus will be closed and consolidated with Sentara Village in Virginia Beach, Va. Space currently occupied by the Norfolk Village building will be used to create private rooms for nursing home residents and rehabilitation patients and install a modern rehabilitation gym.

Plans are to close the Assisted Living Village by the end of 2017. Design and budgeting for the new facilities are in progress.
