Senior Lifestyle Corp., recently held an official ground breaking of one of its newest planned communities, The Sheridan at Green Oaks in Green Oaks, Ill., according to a press release.
The new community will feature 78 independent living and 64 assisted living apartment homes, as well as 64 memory care residences developed specifically to support those with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory-impairing illnesses.
Residents of the community will have access to 50,000 square feet of common space with dining rooms, multipurpose great rooms, fitness centers, an art studio, and more. In addition, the planned retirement community will seamlessly integrate into the local community through pathways that lead directly to local retail and healthcare providers. Technology that meets the needs of senior residents will integrate across platforms to allow access to the internet, providing access to family and staff.
The architect is SAS Architects and Planners and the general contractor is Walsh Construction.
