Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) architect Jan Wampler is scheduled to begin preliminary designs for the Block Island Assisted Living facility, New Shoreham, R.I., in 2020.
The public sector project may be built on either the Ball O’Brien Park or Faulkner property. Plans call for construction of an eight- to ten-room assisted living facility at a cost of $1 million – $5 million.
