SummerPlace Kern Canyon Assisted Living and Memory Care Kern Canyon (Stockton, Calif.) has revealed plans to begin construction of the new facility in June.
Designed by LRS Architects (Portland, Ore.), the 136,631 square-foot development will add 130 units of assisted living and memory care and will feature a mix ranging from studios to two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartments. The complex has been designed as two adjoining structures, with assisted living occupying one building and memory care occupying the other.
Amenities for the assisted living facility include a library, restaurant, beauty and barber shop, dental and medical offices, exercise room, cards and billiards room, home theater/chapel, and activity space. The memory care common area will feature a beauty salon, and living and family spaces. Recreational facilities will include physical therapy and aerobics studios, a putting green, horseshoe pits, and a gardening area.
The developer is PDC Capital Group (Costa Mesa, Calif.).
