Isakson Living recently celebrated the opening of Park Springs Health Services in Stone Mountain, Ga., featuring its built-to-suit household model for memory care.
The full-service healthcare facility will launch the Dementia Care Matters (DCM) Butterfly Household Model of Care. DCM, a United Kingdom-based Culture Change organization, focuses on an emotion-based approach to dementia care. The Butterfly Household Model of Care emphasizes the importance of a nurturing and supportive staff, enhances quality of life, and inspires leadership.
Action-based learning teams will develop and implement the necessary skills to follow the model.
