Owner/operator Kisco Senior Living (Carlsbad, Calif.) and joint venture partner Welltower (Toledo, Ohio) plan to open The Carnegie at Washington Center in Gaithersburg, Md., this summer, according to The Carnegie website. On 8.5 acres, the seven-story, 302-unit community will offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care with one- and two-bedroom floor plans available.
Amenities will include an indoor pool, fitness center, wellness spa, yoga studio, computer center, curated art gallery, and demonstration kitchen.
The project team includes THW Design (architect; Sandy Springs, Ga.), StudioSix5 (interior designer; Austin, Texas), and Balfour Beatty (general contractor; London).
The Carnegie at Washington Center broke ground in November 2021.
