The Carnegie At Washingtonian Center Breaks Ground In Maryland

The 302-unit community will include healthcare services, a curated art gallery, and outdoor landscaped park.

Kisco Senior Living (Carlsbad, Calif.) and joint venture partner Welltower (Toledo, Ohio) broke ground on a new seven-story independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Gaithersburg, Md.

Situated on 8.5 acres, The Carnegie at Washingtonian Center will include 302 one- and two-bedroom units.

Residents will have access to multiple indoor and al fresco dining venues; an indoor heated, saltwater pool; fitness center; wellness spa; yoga studio; lecture hall; computer learning center; curated art gallery; cooking demonstration kitchen; on-site healthcare services; and outdoor landscaped park.

The project team includes THW Design (architect; Sandy Springs, Ga.), StudioSIX5 (interior design; Austin, Texas), and Balfour Beatty (general contractor; London).

The community is slated open in spring 2024.
