Plans for the new Parkland Memory Care in Chandler Ariz., have received city council approval for rezoning the 4.5-acre site. Construction is scheduled to start in summer and end in 2017.
Development will include a 36,377-square-foot, single-story memory care facility along with two medical office buildings. Parkland Memory Care will have 72 beds with a majority being private units and the unit mix will consist of companion apartments, private suites, and deluxe private suites.
The building and site have been designed for the unique demands and needs of those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Amenities will include 24-hour nursing care, landscaped grounds, three secured interior courtyards, activity rooms, an in-house salon, and walking paths.
The grounds will include two small citrus groves, that will be used for activities and gatherings, and a dramatic date palm lined entry.
The project team includes Medical Development Partners (developer); Lenity Architecture (architect); JF Construction Co. (general contractor); and Ryan & Associates (landscape architetc). Upon completion, Parkland Memory Care will be operated by Seasons Management Group.
