The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) plans to build a $35 million skilled nursing community, to be named the Kirk Douglas Care Pavilion, on its Woodland Hills, Calif., campus.

Kirk and Anne Douglas made a gift of $15 million that will kick off the project design and planning and ground breaking is expected to happen in late 2016.

The two-story home will provide space for 80 residents in small neighborhood environments  and will include a wandering garden.
