UnityPoint Health (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) and operator Western Home Services (Cedar Falls, Iowa) are planning a new memory care community in Cedar Rapids, according to an article in kwwl.com.
The Cottages at UnityPoint Way will comprise three memory/dementia care cottages designed using a household model, with each cottage housing 16-20 residential units.
The community will be adjacent to St. Luke’s Transitional Care Center (Cedar Rapids), a short-stay, skilled nursing facility.
The $25 million project is scheduled to break ground in the fall and is expected to open in late 2022.
