Mark Moran Vaucluse senior living community has started construction on a new $88 million development in Sydney. Located in the suburb of Vaucluse in Australia, the village will offer a resort-like and luxury lifestyle for seniors.
The 129,166-square-foot project (gross building area of 355,209 square feet) will also include a range of on-site facilities including dining venues, a swimming pool, fitness center, movie theater, card club, salon, art rooms, and more.
The contractor Brookfield Multiplex is partnering with the Mark Moran Group. Designed by Marchese Partners, a signature design element is a large four-story atrium providing natural light to the building and connecting all floors.
The building surrounds also feature significant landscaping, with a landscaped plaza forming the main entrance to the building to encourage community access into the facility from the nearby shopping village.
Construction on the project is scheduled for completion by April, 2016. ESD Australia is the building consultancy firm and Cundall is providing sustainable design services.
