Maplewood Senior Living (Westport, Conn.) plans to construct a memory care center at the site of the former Mill Hill Club, and upgrade the adjacent senior care community in West Yarmouth, Conn., adding 50 assisted-living units, the Cape Cod Times reports.

The plans call for a ground breaking on the $13.3 million memory care center, Maplewood at Mayflower Place, in January 2016. The two-story building will house 75 beds for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The addition will bring the campus size to about 50 acres.

The 50 new assisted-living units will be housed in a separate building, which is expected to open in spring 2017.
