Developer Evergreen Real Estate Group (Chicago) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on Leyden Senior Apartments in Franklin Park, Ill., according to a news release.
The 4-story senior living community will house 80 units—72 one-bedroom units and eight two-bedroom units. The project also includes the new Carl Fiorito Senior Center on a separate lot on the 2.8-acre property, offering programs, activities, and services to the residents.
The project team will include Weese Langley Klein Architects (designer; Chicago) and F.H. Paschen (general contractor; Chicago).
The community is anticipated to open in summer 2026.
