Central Bethany Development has broken ground on an expansion of Laurel Parc senior living that will add independent and assisted living apartments along with a new memory care facility by next summer.
Laurel Parc, the first phase of which broke ground in 2007, currently houses about 220 senior residents. The second phase of development will add 26 two-bedroom independent living apartments, 20 assisted living apartments and a memory care facility that can house 25 residents.
Laurel Parc will also gain a wellness center with a ramp-entry pool, heated therapy pool and hot tub, group exercise classes, senior-specific gym equipment and a salt therapy room. A new rooftop garden and patio space will crown the complex after this second-phase development.
Along with the new addition, the existing Laurel Parc building will see some changes. The dining room will also be expanded, and a fireside lounge room will be added.
