Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (Jacksonville, Fla.) has wrapped up its renovation project. The interior design remodel, led by Sisler Johnston Interior Design (Jacksonville, Fla.), included the renovation of the facility’s front entry and reception area, conference room, administrative offices, resident dining room, private dining room, resident game room, nurses’ station, and a new bistro area.
The community, owned by Health Care Managers, installed luxury wood plank vinyl flooring in a teak finish and inset a custom-bordered and patterned carpet in the reception area.
As part of the renovation, a fireplace featuring authentic stacked stone in sage, gold, and russet hues was added as a focal point in the bistro area which includes a refreshment bar. Stacked stone accent walls were also added to the reception and corridor areas. New handrails and protective wall coverings in a teak wood finish form a wainscot throughout the renovated areas. Stained wood beams were added to the ceilings of the reception and dining areas to provide warmth.
The dining room makeover features new dining chairs, table linens, and framed art. The resident game room furnishings include new lounge chairs as well as game tables and chairs for tabletop activities. New decorative lighting was installed throughout the center.
