Sherry Daughtery has been appointed as director of finance for The LaSalle Group Inc. Daughtery will help the company to expand its portfolio of memory care communities across the nation. Her focus will be to source debt and equity for new construction developments and to secure bridge and permanent financing for existing properties. She will also oversee a team of financial analysts which provides analytical support for all of The LaSalle Group’s divisions, including expansion initiatives, diversification, and special projects.

The Ensign Group Inc., the parent company of the Ensign Group of skilled nursing, rehabilitative care services, home health and hospice care, assisted living, and urgent care companies, has acquired Life's Doors Hospice, Life's Doors Home Health, and Life's Doors Home Care Solutions located in Boise, Idaho. Life's Doors will be operated by Cornerstone Healthcare Inc.

All American Assisted Living, an affiliate of Kaplan Development Group, LLC, has opened its first community, in Hanson, Massachusetts. The new two-story construction features 48 two-bedroom apartments and the Rose Lane Memory Care, a secured wing with eight two-bedroom apartments dedicated to residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of cognitive impairments.
The R3185 Support Arms from Pressalit Care (Ry, Denmark) are a line of adjustable support arms designed to offer stability and sit-to-stand assistance for elderly or disabled individuals who may have balance problems or difficulties in standing while in bathroom settings. They can be repositioned vertically on the wall in order to enhance the safety and convenience of everyday tasks such as showering while seated or using a toilet. When not in use, the arms can be folded up into a hold position. An optional model can be mounted permanently in a fixed location on the wall. Features include vertical height adjustments of up to 10 inches, weight loading capacity of 330 lbs, an optional toilet roll holder, and color options that include primary tones for use with dementia patients or the visually impaired.
