Imani Village Senior Residence in Chicago held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark its opening, according to a news release from the Office of Mayor Brandon Johnson.
The affordable senior living community is a joint venture between Trinity United Church of Christ (Chicago), SPM Properties & Development (developer and property manager; Des Plaines, Ill.), and Trinity 95th & Cottage Grove Planned Community Development Series LLC.
The 5-story independent living community houses 60 one-bedroom units and 10 two-bedroom units. It’s part of Imani Village, a master-planned sustainable, intergenerational community on a 23-acre site.
