Heron’s Key recently opened southwest of Seattle on 18 acres of woodlands in Gig Hardor, Wash.

The $145 million Life Plan community has 184 independent living apartment homes and 10 cottage homes ranging from 729 to 1,800 square feet.

The community’s on-site health center, Penrose Harbor, offers 36 one-bedroom assisted living apartments and will feature 45 private skilled nursing beds.

The design of Heron’s Key is inspired by the architecture of a historic Scandinavian fishing village with simple roof forms and vibrant shoreside colors.

Heron’s Key features multiple restaurant-style dining venues, a massage and day spa, fitness center with amenities, woodshop, scenic walking trails and more.
