Grand Street Development (Gardner, Kan.) is moving forward with plans to build an independent living senior community in Gardner, according to the Johnson County Post.
The 44-acre project will house 371 residential units, including 110 apartments, 87 villas, and 152 townhomes.
The original proposal also called for building a 90-unit assisted living building on the southeastern corner of the site. Instead, the project will build 42 of the total 152 townhomes in that area of the site.
Planned amenities include a clubhouse with golf simulator, pool, two pickleball courts, shuffleboard court, dog park, putting green, walking trails, and picnic shelters around the 7-acre lake.
The senior living project is expected to start construction this year and be completed by 2030.
