Gifford Medical Center held a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the Menig Nursing Home, an anchor facility for a new senior living campus on 30 acres of meadow land overlooking the Green Mountains in Randolph Center, Vt.
The 31,000-square-foot skilled nursing facility was designed by MorrisSwitzer~Environments for Health (Boston) and is part of Gifford's Morgan Orchards Senior Living Community.
Thirty skilled nursing beds are divided between 2 wings with a centralized nursing station providing monitoring and support to the resident areas as well as the "Main Street," which includes a dining hall with open kitchen, recreation area, salon, and multi-purpose meeting room.
Vaulted ceilings and large windows bring in natural light and offering views of the surrounding mountains and pastoral setting.
