The new Forest Ridge skilled nursing facility in Woodland Park, Colo., has broken ground on the campus of Pikes Peak Regional Hospital and construction work is underway. When finished in fall 2015 it will include 80 private rooms.
The facility will provide post-hospital recovery, secure memory care, and long-term care. It will feature spacious rooms, colorful community and dining areas, and large windows with scenic views. A hair salon, transportation, itemized nutritional dining, and concierge services are some of the amenities that will be offered.
Mid-States Senior Living is the developer and OnPointe Health will manage the facility when it's completed. The architect is Architectural Nexus (Salt Lake City) and the general contractor is Golden Triangle Construction (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
