Environments for Aging announced the winners of its 16th Annual Remodel/Renovation Competition. The program celebrates outstanding work in rethinking a single space within a senior living community, including dining spaces, lounges/activity areas, lobbies, and other resident spaces.
The 2024 winning projects are:
- Gold: The Colonnade – Dining Renovations (Surprise, Ariz.), submitted by Thoma-Holec Design
- Silver: The Virginian – Lobby Area (Fairfax, Va.), submitted by Focus Healthcare Partners
- Bronze: Army Residence Community – Lobby (San Antonio), submitted by RLPS Architects and CJMW Interior Design
A panel of 12 industry experts including architects, interior designers, providers, and consultants reviewed the submissions and determined this year’s awards.

Winners will also be celebrated during a Magazine Awards Luncheon at the 2025 Environments for Aging Expo & Conference to be held April 26-29, 2025, at the Central Bank Center, in Lexington, Ky.
