A virtual judging event to determine the top projects in Environments for Aging’s 25th annual Design Showcase was held Jan. 13, bringing together jury members representing senior living architects, interior designers, owners/operators, and consultants.

In the end, 53 projects were accepted for publication in the Showcase, with 10 being named finalists, four receiving Honorable Mention, and two garnering the top honor of Award of Merit.

Published each year in the Spring issue of Environments for Aging, the Design Showcase offers a compilation of architecture and interior design projects representing current design solutions across a range of project types, sizes, and locations.

The Design Showcase jury was assembled by The Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE), The Center for Health Design, the International Interior Design Association, and the American Society of Interior Designers.

Award winners were recognized during an awards luncheon at the 2021 EFA Expo + Conference in Chattanooga, Tenn. Coverage of the Design Showcase appeared in the Spring 2021 issue of EFA.
