DePaul is constructing a new 55,000-square foot senior living community in Wheatfield, N.Y. Named Wheatfield Commons, the 114-bed will be a country-style community with dormered windows, French doors, and covered porch.
Assisted living unit will provide residents with a choice of fully furnished private or semi-private accommodations. All units have kitchenettes with a refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The suites will feature a large bedroom and a living and dining area. The building’s interior design will offer a warm, transitional style.
Residents in assisted living can also enjoy lounges, activity space, a bathing spa, beauty and barbershop services, and access to a doctor’s office and staff support areas. Memory care residents will enjoy spacious private and semi-private bedrooms and inviting living, dining, and activity areas.
Calamar Land Development Corp. will be overseeing development of Wheatfield Commons. The senior living community is scheduled for completion in fall 2017.
