Ryan Companies, Life Care Services, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, along with community officials, recently celebrated the grand opening for Clarendale of Schererville, a $40 million, 177-residence senior living community in Schererville, Ind.
Clarendale of Schererville is the third Clarendale senior living community from developer-builder Ryan Companies. The three-story community was built on approximately 9 acres and is comprised of 85 independent living residences, 38 assisted living residences and 54 memory care residences. The residences range from approximately 720 square feet to 1,300 square feet for independent living, and from approximately 300 square feet to 890 square feet for assisted living and memory care. The finishes throughout the community include granite kitchen countertops in the independent and assisted living residences.
Social amenities include a movie theater room, a crafts room, a bistro, a pub and billiards room, a club room and library, living rooms with fireplaces, a vaulted multipurpose room, a wellness center with a full-service salon, a fitness room, and a private patio and courtyard.
Housekeeping, maintenance and transportation as well as restaurant-style and private dining with are among the services to be offered. Covered and surface parking for 152 automobiles will also be available.
Life Care Services of Des Moines, Iowa, will manage the community. Founded in 1971, Life Care Services is the third largest manager of senior living properties in the country.
Clarendale of Schererville is the third Clarendale-branded project to be completed, joining Clarendale of Mokena, a 156-residence community that opened in Mokena, Ill., in September 2015 and Clarendale of Algonquin, a 186-residence community that opened in Algonquin, Ill., in September 2016. Clarendale of Indian Lake, a 184-residence community being developed in a suburb of Nashville, Tenn., is expected to open in Spring 2018.
