Village Shalom, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Overland Park, Kan., has expanded.
The $42 million project includes a four-story, 76-unit independent living building and a first-floor Main Street common area with a restaurant, bistro, pub, theater, and day spa. The building joins a freestanding memory care community with 48 residences in a household model.
The community also plans to add 24 boutique-style short-term rehabilitation units and a therapy gym.
The project team includes SFCS (architect and design; Roanoke, Va.) and PARIC (general contractor; St. Louis).
