Alterra Healthcare Corporation (Milwaukee) is preparing to break ground on an expansion and addition at Brookdale Sandy Springs, in Maryville, Tenn., this month.
The $5 million project at the assisted living community will include a 14,848-square-foot addition, with 14 bedrooms, an updated dining room, and nurse call stations, as well as a new 24,772-square-foot Clare Bridge memory care building, which will house 32 units, a courtyard, dining room, and staff space.
The project team includes Hickory Construction, Inc. (Alcoa, Tenn.) and PDC Midwest (Milwaukee) as the design-build firm. The project is expected to take 12 months to complete.
