Breton Rehabilitation and Living Centre plans to expand its on the Breton Woods campus in Grand Rapids, Mich., to add a new rehabilitation center and memory care assisted living unit.
Holland Home (Grand Rapids, Mich.) will break ground on the 4,560-square-foot rehabilitation facility and a 13,390-square-foot assisted living unit in late August. The project is anticipated to continue until fall 2015.
The designer for the expansion project is Post Associates Architects (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Erhardt Construction (Ada, Mich.) will serve as general contractor.
The multimillion dollar expansion features several elements: a rehabilitation gym accommodating physical and occupational therapy and exercise equipment; renovation and re-decoration of the current Breton Rehabilitation and Living Centre building; and the construction of the 15 bed, single-story living unit.
The memory care assisted living unit's private rooms with personal bathrooms will help provide a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for residents.
