Aegis Living (Bellevue, Wash.) opened a biophilic-designed assisted living and memory care community in Bellevue.
The 106,000-square-foot Aegis Living Bellevue Overlake includes 122 units.
Inspired by its Pacific Northwest setting, the community features a glass solarium complete with natural wood, six-foot palms, a waterfall, and koi pond. Other biophilic design elements extend throughout the community’s varied spaces and details such as flooring, furnishings, and fixtures that incorporate patterns, designs, and natural materials that symbolize nature and its elements. The community also includes a garden lounge adjacent to the lobby overlooks an open-air courtyard. A top-floor sky lounge offers views of the city and Mount Rainier, as well as a wine cave on the lower level of the community.
Other amenities include a juice bar, two lounges, a movie theater and activity center, upscale dining room, and salon and barber shop.
The second-floor memory care community includes an outdoor terrace and memory garden featuring a crab shack and picnic/lounge area.
